Assignment overview

Choose a topic from a list provided that you are interested in and annotate three (3) references on your topic. You will create three written annotations (200 words each) of peer-reviewed sources (note: these sources should be current i.e. published after the year 2012) and a concluding summary (150 words) of the literature on your topic.

This assignment supports Subject Learning Outcomes 2, 3 and 4.

Assignment details

Step 1: Choose one topic from the list below that you are interested in.

Step 2: Annotate three references on your topic. Two relevant articles have been listed for you, but you will need to find a third relevant article. Remember that your source must be current (after the year 2012).

Step 3: Write a concise topic summary of about 150 words, discussing what you have learned about this topic from your three annotations. Some questions that might help you are:

What is the key issue or practice gap to consider?

What is best practice in this area?

What are the authors suggesting needs to change?

Do they all agree?

What are some of the solutions that the authors are putting forward?

In summary:

There are three annotations of 200 words each and a topic summary of 150 words (total of 750 words). List the annotations in alphabetical order by author surname.

No additional reference list is needed.
