a) Create a flow chart of the hierarchy of courts within the Commonwealth and provide a brief overview of their structure. Name and save the file as Flow Chart – Commonwealth. Upload the file once you have completed the task.

b) Prepare a brief overview of the different sources of Australian law by writing a short report explaining the following types of law: (i) Statute law, (ii) Delegated law, and (iii) Common law

Your report must be a minimum of 350 words and be in your own words. If you use a government source, you’ll need to reference the material appropriately.

Your directory must provide a brief explanation of what it covers and be displayed in an easy-to-read format. You must include a title for the main document, a footer and add hyperlinks to each listed website.

e) Create a How to Guide for the interns and explain the common structure of an Act or Regulation. Explain the elements that are generally included in an Act including: Schedules, Amendments

f) Create a Fact Sheet explaining the different ways of interpreting statutes. As a minimum, you must cover the following rules of statutory interpretation: Literal rule, Golden rule, Mischief rule, and Purpose approach

For each of the listed rules of statutory interpretation, find an example case where that rule has been applied and provide a brief overview of how those were applied in the case. You must complete this task in your own words and provide references where applicable. To complete this task successfully, your Fact Sheet must include:

An explanation of each rule

An example case for each type of rule/approach listed and an explanation of how it was applied in the case.
