Assignment overview

To pass this subject of study, you must achieve an aggregated grade of at least 50%. Although this assignment is not a mandatory submission, completing this assignment will give you the best chance of achieving this minimum requirement.

This is an alternative task if you decline to give your consent to participate in research for Assignment 3: Research participation task (https://canvas.westernsydneyonline.edu.au/courses/2270/assignments/27348 or are unable to achieve full marks through research participation due to insufficient studies being available.

The alternative task is made up of five journal articles for you to review and summarise. Each summary is worth 6 credit points and can be submitted as an alternative to research participation, or in addition to research participation (if there are insufficient studies available to allow you to achieve full marks through research participation).

This assignment supports Subject Learning Outcome 2.

Journal report requirements

For 6 credit points each, write a 300–500 word summary about one or more of the given psychology-based journals.

A maximum of five summaries equals 30 research credit points. Partial completion will be awarded partial credits (For example, 3 reports = 18 credits = 3.0% towards your final grade).

Each report should provide the following information and answer the following questions (use the headings, which are not included in the word count).

- Reference of the article (in APA 7th edition format).

- What is the research question or hypothesis of the study?

- What were participants asked to do (what did they experience in participating in the study)?

- What was the outcome or conclusions of the study?
